Now that the new year has begun, we wanted to send you another email and update you on our results.  First, thank you so much for your generosity and continuous support to JDRF One Walk on our behalf. Your donation helps JDRF fund life-changing research that will create a world without type 1 diabetes (T1D).  We know that you have many choices and requests when it comes to spending your charitable dollars and time, and we want to recognize that and show our appreciation.

With your support, and over 100 other of our friends and family, our walk team Jessica's J-Walkers , has raised over $34,000 for the Walk.  We were able to get Paul's employer Verizon to match over $2,000 worth of donations this year.  We are still hopeful that a few more donations will trickle in, but we're quite pleased with these results and what they will enable JDRF to do.  JDRF-LA has raised over $1,300,000 for the entire 2014 Walk to date.

Every dollar JDRF directs toward research comes from donors like you. Your gift to JDRF, the leading global organization funding T1D research, will impact the lives of millions of children, adults, and families challenged by this serious autoimmune disease.  Jessica is benefiting from JDRF funded research by the pump and glucose sensor she wears, and the hope for  a better future that we all share.
